Press release:
TAP, a Palestinian-Dutch company dedicated to creating transformative remote job opportunities for underserved youth, has successfully raised $1 million to accelerate its innovative job-hunting platform. The funding round was led by Invest International in the Netherlands and includes contributions from a group of impact angel investors.
TAP’s mission is based on the conviction that everyone, when empowered, has the potential to secure meaningful employment and contribute to a better future. Jobs are a democratising force, levelling the playing field and providing people with the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances.
Transforming Lives Without Crossing Borders
“We started in Palestine, and being in Palestine for many years has taught us so much about youth empowerment and the power of job creation,” said Christian, CEO of TAP. “We plan to double down on our work in Palestine and continue to expand beyond its borders. By empowering youth with the tools, networks, and opportunities they need to succeed, we aim to create a ripple effect of positive change across the region.”
With this funding, TAP will be strengthening its impact in Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon, where it already operates, while launching its next-generation AI-powered platform to revolutionise job-hunting for high-potential youth. The new platform empowers individuals to connect with mentors, access tools, and take charge of their job searches, creating scalable, long-lasting impact in a region where opportunity is often scarce.
2024 Achievements: From Modest Beginnings to Transformative Growth
TAP has achieved significant growth in Palestine, a region deeply affected by occupation, systemic injustice, and, as a result, the neglect of youth. In 2023, the company created 30–40 jobs, and in 2024, it more than doubled this figure to over 100 remote jobs. Despite the challenges of operating in such a volatile environment, TAP is proud to have delivered meaningful opportunities for high-potential individuals across the Middle East.
With the upcoming launch of its AI-powered job-hunting platform and the continued expansion of its partnerships across the region, TAP plans to create 1,000 jobs in 2025. This ambitious target is grounded in the invaluable experience TAP has gained over the past few years, successfully creating opportunities and empowering youth in some of the most challenging environments.
Redefining Job Creation: Launching an AI Job Creation Platform
TAP is at the forefront of innovation with the launch of an AI-driven platform designed to empower youth to take ownership of their job searches, build global networks, and secure meaningful remote opportunities. This groundbreaking platform is already being tested through pilot projects with three leading education NGOs and is also available directly to individuals seeking effective job-hunting solutions. The growing demand for TAP’s programmes underscores the pressing need for scalable solutions in the region.
“If the underlying technology and concepts behind our platform continue to prove effective, we could be on the cusp of a game-changing impact,” said Jafar, co-founder and CTO of TAP. “Our AI-driven tools have the potential to revolutionise how underserved youth access opportunities, not just in Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon, but across the globe. This is more than job creation—it’s about empowering individuals and transforming communities.,” said Tabea, TAP’s Head of Product.
By integrating cutting-edge AI tools with a mission-driven approach, TAP is not only addressing immediate challenges but also laying the groundwork for a sustainable and impactful future. This innovative model could set a precedent for scalable job creation, inspiring hope and opportunity for generations to come.
A Grassroots Tech Movement
TAP has become a catalyst for economic and social resilience in Gaza and the West Bank. Despite the devastating challenges facing Palestine today, TAP’s team remained delivering on its mission. Team members in Gaza, some working in makeshift conditions, continue to deliver value and contribute tirelessly to their communities.
TAP is not just a company—it is a grassroots tech movement creating opportunities and inspiring hope. Over the past year, TAP has onboarded over 1,000 mentors from across the globe, ready to guide, support, and connect youth to global opportunities.
“This is a movement,” said Megan. “We are resisting the completely unjust and unfair situation that some people are subjected to because of powers beyond their control. People see this injustice, and they are coming together to support us because they know we are fighting for a cause that is critical right now. This isn’t just about creating jobs; it’s about standing up for what’s right, empowering youth, and building a future where opportunity exists regardless of circumstance. And we won’t stop.”
